What to do if my Plustek OpticFilm 120 Scanner cannot be found?
    • V
      vfitzgeraldJul 26, 2025
If your Plustek Scanner cannot be found, ensure the USB cables are tightly connected to the correct ports. If you are using a USB cable that didn't come with the scanner, use the one provided. Also, check that the scanner's AC adapter is connected to a working outlet, and if it's connected to a surge protector, make sure the surge protector is turned on. If Windows didn't detect the scanner, check Device Manager to see if the scanner is properly listed under Imaging Devices; if not, reinstall the device drivers.

Why is my Plustek Scanner scanning so slowly?
    • J
      jcortezJul 31, 2025
If your Plustek Scanner is scanning slowly, it might be because other applications are running in the background. Close any unnecessary applications. Another reason could be that you are scanning at a high resolution (DPI). Try reducing the resolution to speed up the scanning process.

If the film holder is stuck inside the Plustek Scanner, disconnect and reconnect the power and USB cables. The scanner should automatically try to eject the film holder when turned on. If it doesn't eject automatically, manually push the film holder through the device until you can remove it from the Rear Film Holder Slot, ensuring you have about 35 cm of space behind the scanner.

      Kathleen DixonAug 21, 2025
If the scanned film from your Plustek Scanner appears abnormal with an offset, it may be because the scanner or the surface it is placed on was bumped during the scanning process. To resolve this, press the Eject button to eject the film holder, then reinsert it. Scan the film again, ensuring the scanner remains still.
