The parking brake is located to the lower right of the driver seat. To
engage the parking brake, lift up on the handle. To release, press the
button on the end of the brake handle and lower it.
NOTE: The parking brake is adjustable and should be checked
periodically by a trained service technician. Review the vehicle
maintenance schedule on page 104.
• Always fully apply the parking break when leaving your vehicle, or it will roll
and may cause death or serious injury.
• Leaving children in a vehicle unaended is dangerous for a number of
reasons. A child or other person could be injured. Children should be warned
not to touch the parking brake or the gear selector lever. Always remove
key from ignion when done with vehicle. A child could operate controls, or
move the vehicle.
• Be sure the parking brake is fully disengaged before driving. Failure to do so
can lead to brake problems due to excessive heang of the rear brakes.
