1. The water level in the ooded batteries should be checked monthly, or more
frequently with heavy usage. The level should be in between the battery
plates and the bottom of the ll well (see page 83). The battery plates
should be visible when looking into the ll well. If not, use a ashlight. Add
(distilled) water only after charging unless the water level is below the top
of the battery plates. In this case, add just enough distilled water to cover
the plates, charge then recheck the level.

BATTERY MAINTENANCE
Never charge baeries if plates are exposed above water level.
NOTICE
Baery acid from cleaning baeries can damage driveway or garage oor.
NOTICE
The baery pack is at a high voltage. High voltage is always present at the baery
terminals. Never touch the baery terminals when performing monthly baery
maintenance procedures. Failure to follow these direcons may result in death
or serious injury.
