MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION
Minor Maintenance
Battery Removal
1. Release the battery by
removing the strap(s) or
loosening the fasteners and
removing the bar.
2. If applicable, move the
electrical box out of the way.
It does not have to be opened
for battery removal. NOTE:
Some wiring may have to be
removed from wire clips for
access to battery.
3. Remove the battery vent tube
from the battery.
4. Disconnect the black
(negative) battery cable first.
The battery must be removed from the watercraft for maintenance
and charging. Battery electrolyte may spill and damage the
watercraft.
Always disconnect the black (negative) cable first. Electrolyte or fuel
vapors may be present in the engine compartment and a spark
could ignite them which could cause personal injury. When
re-installing battery connect black (negative) cable last.
