Extended Storage
If you prefer to drain the fuel tank, use the following procedure:
1. Drain the fuel tank with a siphon or pump.
2. Leave the fuel cap loose to prevent condensation from forming in
the fuel tank.
Perform steps 3 and 4 simultaneously.
3. Fog the engine with rust preventative oil (PN 2870791), available
from your Polaris dealer. Follow the recommended procedures
indicated on the can.
4. Start the engine and run it at part throttle to dry out the carburetors.
Do not run the engine for more than 15 seconds while the
watercraft is out of the water. Wait five minutes between 15 second
running periods.
