Overview

This document serves as the instruction manual for the Polaris General Box, a domestically produced dental equipment designed for accuracy, reliability, and safety, with a user-friendly interface. The product is the result of extensive efforts by a technical and engineering team with 25 years of experience in manufacturing dental equipment, achieving export-index quality. The manual emphasizes the importance of reading its contents carefully to correctly and completely utilize the product features, reduce consumable costs, avoid risks, and ultimately increase product life. It should always be kept near the product and periodically reviewed by the user.

The Polaris General Box is a versatile device with several operational features designed to assist in dental procedures. Its primary function involves providing a controlled environment for various tasks, incorporating elements such as a micro-motor panel, a blower, and a suction system. The device is initiated by placing it on a stable, smooth surface, connecting air branches to the air inlet, and plugging it in. If the device includes a turbine, it must also be connected to a metropolitan water source.

Key usage features include:

  • Power Button: Used to turn the device on and off.
  • FOOT and Hand Buttons: These buttons allow the user to switch the hand-piece function between pedal and manual modes, offering flexibility in operation.
  • Clockwise-Counterclockwise Button: This feature enables adjustment of the hand-piece rotation to either "Rev" (reverse) or "For" (forward) modes, accommodating different procedural requirements.
  • Lamp Button: Activates the integrated light, ensuring clear visibility of the working area.
  • Suction or Vacuum Cleaner Button: In manual mode, this button turns the suction socket on and off. Holding this button for a few seconds activates the suction adjustment mode, allowing the user to set the suction power between 0-100 using arrow keys. The desired speed is then saved by pressing the suction key again.
  • Autokey: This key places the system in automatic mode, synchronizing hand-piece rotation and suction operation for streamlined workflows.
  • Arrow Keys: These are multi-functional, used to adjust various elements such as hand-piece speed, LCD light intensity, and suction power.
  • Stop and Run Button: In Hand mode, this button starts and stops the micro-motor rotation of the hand-piece.
  • LCD Light Adjustment: The LCD light can be adjusted between 0-100 by simultaneously pressing the Manual and Auto buttons.
  • Factory Reset: In case of panel hanging or locking, pressing the Auto and down arrow buttons together will reset the device to factory settings.

For optimal operation, the device requires at least 5 bar compressor air, metropolitan gas, and electricity with an earth connection. All panels are checked for quality and calibrated before shipment.

Maintenance features are crucial for ensuring the longevity and safe operation of the Polaris General Box. The manual outlines several guidelines:

  • Cleaning: The device body should be kept clean using a dry cloth, possibly dampened with a small amount of water or a non-greasy solution for external cleaning. Users must ensure the device is free of dust, water, and other unexpected solutions. Cleaning should be performed after each operation when the device is in the OFF mode and stable. For internal cleaning, users should contact the after-sales service department. It is strictly forbidden to clean the device while it is plugged in or to use combustible, corrosive, base, or toxic solutions for cleaning.
  • Periodic Maintenance: Inspection and periodic cleaning depend on the device's operation level. Users are advised to consult company experts after installation to determine the appropriate time for inspections and periodic cleaning. If any damage or exhaustion is detected during these inspections, the after-sales service department should be contacted for maintenance and compulsory service. The maximum recommended interval for periodic repairs is 12 months.
  • Suction Bag Replacement: To replace the suction bag, the device must first be unplugged. The sheet hook should then be opened, the old suction bag replaced with a new one, and the sheet immobilized using the hook.

General safety measures are also highlighted, including:

  • Ensuring correct connection of the hand-piece or pedal by aligning the excrescence with the corresponding slot.
  • Periodically emptying the suction bag.
  • Preventing the hand-piece from touching the ground.
  • Operating the device in a clean, brightly lit, and obstacle-free environment.
  • Immediately stopping the device and unplugging it if any malfunction is detected, then contacting the after-sales department.
  • Strictly avoiding opening pneumatic and electrical parts.
  • Never replacing the power supply or parts directly related to the plug.
  • Using the device only for its intended applications.
  • Never using benzine or combustible solutions for cleaning; only noncorrosive, noncombustible, and nontoxic materials should be used.

The company's liabilities are limited to issues arising from incorrect use, unauthorized repairs, part replacement without coordination, and power fluctuations. The product comes with an 18-month guarantee covering main parts, provided it is used appropriately. Cases not covered by the guarantee include power fluctuations, incorrect transportation, inappropriate use despite obvious flaws, non-observance of maintenance instructions, installation or repair by unauthorized persons, and issues with the power cable, keys, or protective shield. Commutation fees for company representatives during the guarantee period are borne by the buyer. The device should not be used before proper installation and insurance of protective parts. Users are strongly recommended to have a general understanding of this manual before operation. Any perceived operational flaws should be reported to the after-sales service department. Authorized representatives of Polaris Co. are endorsed to perform electrical and mechanical adjustments, repairs, maintenance, and part replacements.
