MAINTENANCE
Air Filter
Always change the air filter at the intervals outlined in the Periodic
Maintenance Chart beginning on page 69.
1. Access the air box from
behind the left rear wheel.
2. Remove the air box cover
and inspect the gasket. It
should adhere tightly to the
cover around the entire
edge.
3. Remove the air filter.
4. Install a new filter if
needed. Do not attempt to
clean the air filter. Apply a
small amount of general
purpose grease to the seal-
ing edges of the filter
before installing.
5. Inspect the air box for oil or water deposits. If present, drain them
into a suitable container.
