REGULATOR / RECTIFIER
1. Note: The regulator / rectifier is located in front of the
radiator. Remove the hood.
2. Disconnect the wire harness from both headlights.
3. Remove the (4) T40 Torx screws and (8) push rivets
retaining the front fascia (see Chapter 5).
4. Carefully remove the front fascia assembly from the
vehicle to access the regulator / rectifier (A).
5. If replacing the regulator / rectifier, remove the (2)
retaining screws (B) and disconnect the wire harness
(C). Remove the regulator (A) and heat sink plate (D)
from the vehicle.
6. Reverse this procedure to install the new regulator /
rectifier and heat sink plate.
NOTE
If the regulator / rectifier case temperature exceeds
230° F or 110° C, the unit will turn itself off to cool down.
The unit will turn on again after it has cooled down to at
least 212° F or 100° C. If it turns off, verify the cooling
fins are clean, free from debris and that adequate
airflow is present.
