6. Reinstall the dipstick. Make sure it’s fully seated.
7. Remove the dipstick and view the oil level. Maintain the oil level between the
ADD and FULL marks on the dipstick

. Add oil if necessary. Do not overfill.
NOTICE
If oil level is at “ADD”, about 1 qt. (946 ml) is needed to reach the “FULL” mark.
NOTICE
A rising oil level between checks in cool weather driving can indicate
contaminants such as fuel or moisture collecting in the crankcase. If the oil
level is over the full mark, change the oil immediately.
