There are several Flash options available on your camera. The selected option appears on the
Photo Capture Mode LCD screen.
To change the Flash mode:
1. Short press MENU button while in Photo Capture Mode.
2. Press the  DOWN or  UP button until the ‘Flash’ option is selected.
3. Press the OK/SHUTTER button to enter the Flash options
4. Press the  DOWN or  UP button to select and highlight the desired Flash option.
5. Press the OK/SHUTTER button to select and save the desired Flash option and to then
return to the Photo Capture Menu screen.
Important:
 When using Flash, stand between 8 to 10 feet away from the scene you would like to capture.
 The MACRO mode must be turned OFF when you want to use the Flash.
To change the Macro setting: Select ‘Macro’ from the Photo Capture Mode Menu, then select
the ‘OFF’ Macro setting option.
Flash Type
Description
Forced Off (Default)
 No flash will appear.
 Use this when you do not want to activate Flash.
Forced Flash
 The flash is enabled for each photo.
Note: If you use this option in a well-lit environment, your photo
may be appear too bright/light (overexposed).

Auto Flash
 When you want the camera to determine if Flash is needed, select
Auto Flash.
 The flash will automatically turn on according to the lighting
conditions.
 When the LED light stops blinking, the Flash is ready for use.
Red Eye Reduction
 Eliminates the red-eye effect in a photo caused by flash.
