turningoffyourIntelClassmatePC-Convertiblebeforeturningitback
on;turningthepoweronandoffinrapidsuccessioncandamagethe
IntelClassmatePC-Convertibleelectricalcircuitry.
TurningOnYourComputer
Turn on your Intel Classmate PC - Convertible by pressing the power
button. Hold the button down for a second or two and release. The
Power-OnSelfTest(POST)runsautomatically.
AfterthePOSTiscompleted,thecomputerreadstheoperatingsystem
from the hard disk drive into computer memory (this is commonly
referredtoas“booting”acomputer).IfyourOS(OperatingSystemsuch
asWindows8….Etc.) isinstalled,itshouldstartautomatically.
To turn the Intel Classmate PC - Convertible off, save your work and
closeallopenapplications,Pressonthepowerbuttontoshutdownyour
computer.
OperatingonBatteryPower
Your computer comes with a rechargeable battery pack that lets you
operate the computer without an external power source. When the
batterypackisfullycharged, you can operatethecomputerunderthe
followingconditions:
n Thebatterypackinitiallyhasafullcharge.
n Noperipheraldevicesareinstalled.
