OPERATION
DETERMINE WIDTH OF CUT
Measure the width of the lock box at its widest point, including any
protruding parts. DO NOT INCLUDE THE LOCK FACE. Select a cutter equal
to, or slightly larger than this width.
Example: 1) Overall width of lock box –
31
/32" – Use PORTER-CABLE
#43704 1" diameter bit.
2) Overall width of lock box –
3
/4" – Use PORTER-CABLE
#43703
3
/4" diameter bit.
Various sizes of bits are available as accessories.
CAUTION: Disconnect tool from power source and exercise
extreme care when handling cutter to avoid bodily injury or damage
to cutting edge.
Thread selected bit onto end of splined cutter shaft and tighten securely.
DETERMINING LENGTH OR HEIGHT OF CUT
Measure the height of the lock box (see Fig. 5) including any protruding
parts. DO NOT INCLUDE THE LOCK FACE.
