Why does my Porter-Cable PXCMLC3706056 Air Compressor trip the circuit breaker?

If your Porter-Cable Air Compressor is tripping the circuit breaker or motor reset switch due to excessive current draw, the issue might stem from low voltage or motor overload. Ensure your power supply is adequate and the compressor is on a dedicated circuit. If you're using an extension cord, try operating the compressor without it. If the compressor is connected to a circuit protected by a fuse, use dual element time delay fuses (Buss Fusetron type “T” only). Another potential cause is a drive belt that's too tight; in this case, readjust the belt tension. Also, inspect and replace transfer tubes or the check valve if there are restricted air passages.
