10.3 Manually thread lengthening
The wire can also be lengthened manually if necessary.
Before manually lengthen the wire, remove the battery from the device.
Press the button on the manual extension wire and release it while pulling gently the wire
until it arrives at the cutter.
The wire is too long if it exceeds the level of the cutter.
11 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Your tool has been designed to operate over a long period of time with a minimum of
maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper tool care and regular
cleaning.
Regularly clean the ventilation slot in your tool using a soft brush or dry cloth.
Regularly clean the cutting line and spool using a soft brush or dry cloth.
Regularly use a blunt scraper to remove grass and dirt from the underneath of the guard.
12 STORAGE
Store the trimmer out of reach of children, in a stable and safe position and in a dry place
where the temperature is not too hot or too cold.
Store the trimmer away from direct sunlight, if possible in a dark or barely lit place.
Do not store in a nylon bag because this could encourage the formation of damp patches.
Do not store the grass trimmer resting on the floor. Hang it by the handgrip instead, so that
the guard does not touch anything. The resting of the guard on a surface could alter its
shape and therefore its dimensions and its safety characteristics would be modified.
