of anchor. The uniquely
designed rope and
chain windlass features
a worm
gear
drive
system for
fast
power-up
and
power-down
operalion and manual
free fall.
This windlass is rated for

ure to use the breaker could cause
overheating

creating a

fire hazard

CAUTION
When the windlass is not in use,
the
anchor must
be
tie4off
onto a cleat to relieye motor t€nsion
and
prevent
boat damage. Also, when trailering
the boat th€ anchor
must be tied-off. Failurs
to do
so invalidatos
th€ warranty.
7. Inspeclthe entire rope forweak or worn condition or
kinking
(short
tighl twist
or curl) betore each
use.
8. When replacingthe rope, always
usea Powerwinch
rope. The rope affects the
perforrnance
of the
gypsy.
9. Never substitute
cable for
rope.

Connect switch to control unit using #16 gauge green, white, and blue wires.

Connect control unit to battery using #2 gauge wires, circuit breaker, and proper terminals.

Caution: Battery Terminal

Never attach circuit breaker to battery ground terminal; attach to positive side.

Rode Installation

Procedure for installing anchor line, chain, or combination onto the windlass.

Anchor Attachment

Attaching the anchor to the thimble using a shackle.

Caution: Thimble Cutting

Never cut the thimble connected to the rope; it reduces capacity and invalidates warranty.

Operation

Always stand clear of the load/anchor point area due to serious injury risk if rope breaks.

Caution: Anchor Tie-Off

Anchor must be tied-off when not in use or trailering to prevent damage and invalidation of warranty.

Automatic Mode

Operate windlass using the switch in "up" or "down" positions to raise or lower anchor.

Caution: Switch Direction Change

Never change switch direction quickly without stopping the motor to prevent damage.

Free-Fall Mode

Disengage clutch by turning handle counterclockwise to release line; tighten clockwise to stop.

Maintenance

Lubrication Procedure

Lubricate windlass annually by removing screw, inserting tube, and squeezing for four seconds.

Rope and Chain Inspection

Periodically check rope for abrasion/cuts and eye splice for wear; use specified rope.
