Overview

This document is the user manual for the PRECISE Model No. TT-3500 Table Top Induction Cooking Unit.

Function Description:

The TT-3500 is a table-top induction cooking unit designed for efficient and precise cooking. It operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction, where a high-frequency (20-35KHz) induction coil beneath the ceramic top plate heats the cooking utensil directly through magnetic friction. This method ensures that heat is produced directly within the pan, leading to minimal energy loss between the hob and the food. The unit is controlled by an electronic circuit that offers superior performance and various functions. When the unit is switched off or the pan is removed, cooking and heating stop immediately.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model No.: TT-3500 Induction Hob
  • Voltage: 230V~50/60Hz
  • Vitro-ceramic Plate: Approximately 300mm x 300mm x 6mm thickness
  • Electrical Power Consumption: Max. 3500 watt, 15.9A
  • Electrical Power Range: Approximately 350 watt ~ 3500 watt
  • Functions:
    • Power Regulate: 19 steps, from 350W-3500W
    • Temperature Holding: from 50-240°C, every 10°C
  • Dimension: 385mm X 520mm X 197mm (including the foot stand)
  • Remarks: The switching frequency is verified by different power settings, to be between 20~35K Hz.

Usage Features:

The TT-3500 offers two main cooking modes: HEAT and WARM.

  • Turning On: To turn on the unit, first push the power ON/OFF key. Within 5 seconds, turn the power regulating knob or push the temperature select key ("+" or "-").
  • HEAT Mode:
    • Press the heat function key; the heat indicator lamp will light.
    • Set the heating level by rotating the power control knob from 1 to 19. The LED display will show the selected level settings.
  • WARM Mode:
    • Press the WARM function key; the heat indicator lamp will light.
    • Set the required temperature by pushing the "up arrow" and "down arrow" keys. The selection ranges from 50°C to 240°C, with each step being 10°C.
    • The warm indication light will flash until the required temperature is reached.
    • In WARM mode, the rotating power control knob does not function.
    • To switch from WARM to HEAT mode, press the heat function key, and the power control knob will be activated.
  • Pan Compatibility:
    • Suitable Pots & Pans: Iron, cast iron, stainless steel, and enamelware. All suitable pans must have a magnetic, flat bottom and a diameter between 12cm and 26cm.
    • Unsuitable Pots & Pans: Pots with a diameter below 5cm, stainless steel pans with aluminum bottoms, pottery, glass pans, aluminum pans, bronze pans, copper pots, and pans with feet.
  • Ventilation: Place the unit on a flat and even surface, allowing at least 10cm space from walls or other objects for proper ventilation.
  • Small Object Detector: The unit will not recognize objects or utensils smaller than 5cm in diameter. It is recommended not to place metal kitchen utensils, pan lids, knives, or other small metal objects on the heating zone when the unit is turned on, as they may become hot.
  • Automatic Safety Shut-Off: If the unit is left on for more than 60 seconds without a pan or with an incompatible pan, it will automatically shut off.
  • Overheating Protection Device: If the temperature of the pan reaches 250°C and remains for 60 seconds, the unit will automatically shut off with a short warning sound. The heating indication light will flash. Once the temperature reduces, the power will automatically restart. Heating an empty pan at maximum power can cause the ceramic surface to reach a high temperature quickly.
  • IC Automatic Reset Device: Equipped with a "Dog Device," the main control microprocessor will automatically reset if the software program malfunctions.
  • Pacemakers: Scientific tests indicate no danger for persons with pacemakers, but a distance of 60cm is recommended while using the unit.
  • Control Panel Components:
    1. 3500watt Induction Heating Zone
    2. Vitro Ceramic Top Plate
    3. Stainless Steel Housing
    4. Air-Intake (Air filter)
    5. Air-Outlet
    6. Power On/Off key
    7. Induction Heating Indicator Light
    8. Power Control Knob (Power regulator)
    9. Heat / Warm function select key
    10. Heat/Warm Indicator Light
    11. Heat/Warm temperature "+", "-"
    12. LED Power steps 1-19

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: After the induction unit has cooled down and is unplugged:
    • Ceramic Plate: Wipe with a damp cloth or use a mild, non-abrasive cleaning solution.
    • Body: Wipe the control panel with a soft cloth or use a mild cleaner.
  • Spillage: Immediate clean-up is recommended when any spillage occurs.
  • Storage: When storing, do not place any objects on top of the induction unit.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues, including:
    • No indication light when power "on" (check cable, fuse, power supply).
    • Heating indicator not lighting or flashing, appliance fails to heat up (check for unsuitable cooking utensil, no pan, pan not centered, utensil too small).
    • Appliance suddenly stops heating during operation (over-heating protection activated, blocked air entrance/outlet, dirty air filter, high ambient temperature).
    • Error codes (E3 for over-heat protection top-plate, E4 for over-heat protection empty pot/pan, E6 for over-voltage protection, E9 for over-current protection) are indicated by beeper patterns and LED display. If problems persist, contact after-sales service.

Precautions:

  • Do NOT block the air-intake panel to prevent overheating.
  • Do NOT touch the hot surface of the ceramic plate, as reflected heat from the pan can make it hot.
  • Do NOT cook with empty pots or pans.
  • Do NOT place credit cards, cassettes, or other magnetic-sensitive objects on the ceramic top.
  • Do NOT place aluminum foil on the ceramic top to prevent overheating.
  • Do NOT place any objects or tools in the air-intake panel, as this may cause electrical shock.
  • Do NOT immerse the unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Close supervision is necessary when used near children.
  • Do NOT operate if damaged or malfunctioning; return to an authorized service facility.
  • Do NOT use accessories or parts not recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Keep the power cord away from heat.
  • Do NOT place the unit in, on, or near open flames, electric burners, heated ovens, or other high-temperature surroundings.
  • Do NOT heat any sealed cans on the unit, as they may explode.
  • Do NOT move the unit while cooking or when the pan is hot.
  • Unplug when not in use.
  • Do NOT use the induction unit for purposes other than intended.
