What causes a Predator Portable Generator engine to backfire?
    • B
      bleonardSep 12, 2025
If your Predator Portable Generator engine backfires, ensure you are using fresh 87+ octane unleaded gasoline, and that it contains no more than 10% ethanol. If the engine is too cold, consider using cold weather fuel and oil additives to prevent backfiring. If problems persist, check engine timing.
