Appendix 1 – Ecoflo biofilter models
The Ecoflo biofilter can be found in different model series, which are ST, STB, EC, EC5, and EC7. The model number of the Ecoflo
biofilter relates to its characteristics, as presented in the following table. NOTE: Some model series may not be approved in your area.
ST and STB model series

refers to a polyethylene, ready-to-use Ecoflo
with a watertight bottom. This model is designed for
1,260 litres per day (L/d) or three bedrooms.
refers to an Ecoflo system with a filtering
medium made of coconut husk fragments. The shell is made
of polyethylene, the daily flow capacity is 500 US gal/d, there is
an integrated pump, the bottom of the unit is watertight, and
the primary/septic tank and biofilter are combined in one
monobloc configuration.
