inconstruction.Somehaveverythinplasticwallsthatbecomedeformedifboilingwaterisused.Othershaveverythininteriorlters,
whichworkwellwithagentlepumpingpressure,butmaybreakwhensubjectedtoheavypressure.Stillothershaveveryrigidtopsof
varyingthickness,makingthemdifculttopierce.
Ifyouexperienceunusualdifcultypumpingandthewaterinthevesselhasturnedbrown,youhaveapackwithathinlterthathas
brokenunderpressure.Discardtheliquid,cleantheunit,andstartagain,thistimeapplyingagentlesteadypressure.
Ifthewaterisclear,verifythatthetopandbottomofthepackarepierced.Carefullyunscrewthereservoirfromthebase.Forpackswith
plasticbottoms,pushdowntoensurethebottomispierced.Checkthetop.Ifyoudonotseeasmallholeinthemiddle,makeonewith
aknife.Reassembleandresumepumping.
