8. Remove the cover from the S-drive controller (7). See
diagram 3.
9. Unplug connector 10a from connector 7c. See diagram 2..
10. Measure resistance across pin 1 and pin 2 on connector
10a. See figure 18.
If your multimeter indicates about 30 — 65 ohms, then
replace the S-drive controller (7) and retest the system.
If your multimeter does not indicate about 30 — 65
ohms, then replace the motor interface harness (10) and
retest the system.
BEEP CODE #6 - Throttle Trip
Diagnosis:
The throttle pot (11) was not in the neutral position when the
scooter was powered up or the throttle pot may be faulty.
Solution:
Use the following procedure to determine the source of the
fault:
1. Remove the key from the key switch and release the throttle
control lever to the neutral (center) position. Reinsert the
key into the key switch and power up the scooter.
2. Refer to BEEP CODE #7 - Throttle Trip to determine if
the throttle pot is faulty.

Diagnosis:
! Faulty Throttle Pot (11)
! Faulty Speed Pot (12)
! Faulty Front-to-Rear Harness (4)
! Faulty Front-to-Rear Interface Harness (5)
! Faulty Controller (7)
Solution:
Use the following procedure to determine the source of the
fault:
1. Open the front console (3). See figure 6.
2. Unplug connector 11a from connector 4d. See diagram 2.
3. Measure resistance across pin 1 and pin 3 on connector
11a. See figure 19.
If your multimeter indicates about 5k ohms, then go to
the next step.
If your multimeter does not indicate about 5k ohms,
then replace the throttle pot (11) and retest the system.
4. Measure resistance across pin 1 and pin 2 on connector
11a. See figure 20.
If your multimeter indicates about 12.5k ohms, then go
to the next step.
If your multimeter does not indicate about 12.5k ohms,
then replace the throttle pot (11) and retest the system.
