Cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning the iron
WARNING
Risk of burns!
The appliance will become
very hot during operation.
Touching hot components
may cause serious burns!
■ Before cleaning, disconnect
the mains plug from the
socket and allow the appli-
ance to cool completely.
NOTICE
Cleaning the appliance incor-
rectly may cause damage!
Hard objects may scratch the
soleplate.
■ Do not use any sol-
vent-based, abrasive or
scouring cleaners or clean-
ing utensils (e.g. scouring
pads or similar). They could
scratch the surfaces.
■ Do not fi ll the water tank
with vinegar, descaling
agent, chemical detergents,
etc.
■ Do not use a steam cleaner
or high-pressure cleaner to
clean the appliance.
■ Thoroughly dry all parts af-
ter cleaning.
1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Pull the mains plug out of the
socket.
3. Push the locking mecha-
nism (12) for the water tank
and pull the water tank (11)
out.
4. Open the tank cap (13).
5. Empty the water tank.
6. Close the water tank again.
7. Insert the water tank into the
steam generator iron (b).
8. Let the steam iron cool off
completely.
9. Wipe the steam iron (a) with
a damp cloth.
10. Then let the steam iron dry
completely.
