Safety notices
In this chapter you will fi nd
general safety notices which
you must always observe for
your own protection and that
of third parties. Please also
observe the warning notices
in the individual chapters on
operation, cleaning, etc.
Risks in handling
household electrical
appliances
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Excessive mains voltage,
faulty electrical installation or
improper use of the appliance
may cause electric shock or
short-circuit.
Never use a damaged ap-
pliance. Should you notice
damages (incurred in tran-
sit), inform our customer
service immediately (see
“Service” on page EN-27).
Only use the appliance in-
doors and never operate it
in damp rooms or expose it
to rain.
Never repair a defective or
suspected defective appli-
ance yourself. You can put
your own and future users’
lives in danger. Only author-
ised specialists are allowed
to carry out this repair work.
The appliance corresponds
to protection class I and
may only be connected to a
plug with a protective con-
ductor that has been prop-
erly installed. When con-
necting, make sure that it
has the right voltage. You
can fi nd more detailed in-
formation about this on the
nameplate.
Do not operate the appli-
ance with an external timer
or a separate remote con-
trol system.
Always connect the appli-
ance to an easily accessi-
ble socket, so that you can
quickly unplug the mains
plug in an emergency.
