If you are using an AFCI-equipped outlet and the circuit breaker trips, you may need to purchase an arc filter. Also, make sure the key is fully inserted into the console. Finally, check the power switch on the treadmill frame; if it's protruding, wait five minutes, then press it back in to reset.

To correct this, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Then, using a hex key, turn both idler roller screws counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn.
