  If your Pro-Form Treadmill turns off during use, first check the power switch. If it has tripped, wait five minutes, then press it back in. Also, ensure the power cord is securely plugged in; if it is, unplug it, wait five minutes, and plug it back in. Another solution is to remove and reinsert the key from the console. If the issue persists, please see the front cover of this manual.

How to fix Pro-Form Treadmill if the power does not turn on?

  If your Pro-Form Treadmill power does not turn on, ensure the power cord is plugged into a properly earthed outlet. If using an extension cord, it should be a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (2 mm[2]) cord no longer than 5 ft (1.5 m). Also, verify that the key is inserted into the console. If the switch has tripped (protrudes), wait five minutes, then press the switch back in to reset it.

  If the walking belt slips when walked on your Pro-Form Treadmill, unplug the power cord first. Then, using the hex key, turn both idler roller screws clockwise, 1/4 of a turn.

  First, ensure that the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet. Second, verify that the key is inserted into the console. If the treadmill is connected to an AFCI-equipped outlet and your circuit breaker trips repeatedly when the treadmill is used, consider purchasing an arc filter.

  If the walking belt is overtightened, it may decrease treadmill performance. To resolve this, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Using the hex key, turn both idler roller screws counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn. Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform unless instructed to do so by an authorized service representative.
