What to do if the ProForm 730CS 831.299271 power turns off during use?

      David HernandezJul 26, 2025
If the ProForm Treadmill's power turns off during use, first check the circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If tripped, wait five minutes before pressing the switch back in. Also, ensure the power cord is properly plugged in and that the key is fully inserted into the console. Verify the on/off switch is in the 'on' position. If issues persist, consider contacting the HELPLINE.

      Michael ClarkAug 5, 2025
If your ProForm Treadmill's power isn't turning on, ensure the power cord is connected to a surge suppressor, which is then plugged into a grounded outlet. Use a UL 1449 listed surge suppressor (TVSS) with specific electrical ratings. Also, ensure the key is fully inserted into the console. Check the circuit breaker near the power cord; if tripped (switch protrudes), wait five minutes before resetting it. Finally, confirm the on/off switch near the power cord is in the 'on' position.

Why is the speed display on my ProForm Treadmill not working properly?
    • A
      Ashley BradleyAug 14, 2025
If the speed display on your ProForm Treadmill console isn't working right, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Take off the hood and find the Reed Switch. Turn the Pulley until the Magnet lines up with the Reed Switch, keeping about 1/8 inch gap. If needed, adjust the Reed Switch position by loosening its screw, then re-tighten. Put the hood back on and test the treadmill to see if the speed reading is correct.
