Recommendation
In order to ensure the best operation of the installation, we recommend the
use of Procold box which includes a cold room controller, an expansion
valve driver and an expansion valve from Carel. The Procold box
communicates with the condensing unit through Modbus and allows an
optimal coordination between all the components of the circuit. When using
other brands of controller or expansion valve, a special attention must be
paid on the settings on site. Bad settings of these componen
ts can lead to instability of the system, short cycling
the compressor and oil return issue, endangering the condensing unit operation.
To avoid any overloading of the compressors, it is necessary to set a MOP (Maximum Operating Pressure) of
0°C (34,8 Bar) for MT application and a MOP of -20°C (19,7) Bar for LT applications.
