The PROFUSION HA24-75MB is a heavy-duty, fan-forced electric heater designed for garages, workshops, and similar indoor locations. It features two heat settings, offering a maximum heat production of 25,589 BTU per hour (7500W II) and a lower setting of 17,065 BTU per hour (5000W I). Both settings operate at 240V. The 7500W setting draws 31.3 amps, while the 5000W setting draws 20.9 amps. For the 7500W/240V configuration, a 40-amp fuse and #8 wire size (75°C copper) are required.
Function Description:
The heater provides both horizontal and vertical airflow and includes a built-in thermostat for temperature control. A key safety feature is the overheating safety thermal cut-out, which automatically turns the unit off if it overheats. When the thermal cut-out is activated, a red caution indicator will illuminate. The heater also incorporates a fan delay function to protect the heating element: the fan provides warm air upon startup and continues to run for a short period after the heater is turned off to cool the element, maximizing its lifespan.

- Minimum distance from discharge to any object: 36 inches.
- Minimum clearance to ceiling (without mounting brackets): 1 5/8 inches.
Installation Requirements and Safety:
This heater requires a hardwire installation (no plug) and must be installed by a certified electrician in accordance with all local and national electrical codes in the United States and Canada. It must be grounded to prevent electrical shock, and the circuit must be protected with proper fuses. Only copper wires rated for at least 75°C should be used. The mounting structure and anchoring hardware must be capable of supporting the heater's weight and mounting bracket. The heater is not suitable for outdoor use, bathrooms, laundry areas, or similar indoor locations where it could fall into water. It should not be used in hazardous locations with gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids, nor in corrosive atmospheres like marine greenhouses or chemical storage areas. Airflow must be directed parallel to or away from adjacent walls, and clearances to walls, floor, and ceiling must be observed.
Mounting Options:
The heater can be ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted.
- Ceiling Mounting: A mounting bracket is provided. It attaches to a wood stud in the ceiling joist using screws and washers. The unit can be swiveled horizontally if installed with a single lag bolt (a longer lag bolt may be required). For vertical tilting, the bracket screws can be loosened to adjust to multiple angles (90, 67.5, 45 degrees).
- Wall Mounting (Wood Studs Only): A tripod and support plate are used. The support plate slides into the tripod and is secured with screws. The tripod is then installed on the wall with two screws. The heater's bracket attaches to the heater, and the unit is placed on the support plate. It can be tilted at three different angles (90, 67.5, 45 degrees) and secured with two screws. The horizontal angle can also be adjusted.
Usage Features:
- Thermostat Control: A built-in thermostat allows users to set the desired room temperature. To operate, turn the thermostat knob clockwise to its highest position until the amber POWER INDICATOR turns on. Once the room reaches the desired comfort level, turn the knob counter-clockwise until a click is heard, then slightly clockwise to maintain the set temperature.
- External Thermostat Compatibility: The heater is compatible with a 240V line voltage single-pole wall thermostat (not included). To use an external thermostat, the control switch on the back of the heater must be shifted to the "II" position. The external thermostat must comply with cUL or CSA standards, and its lead wire must have a minimum gauge of 16 AWG.
- Power Selection Switch: A switch allows selection between 5000W (I) and 7500W (II) heating outputs.
- Adjustable Louvers: Louvers can be adjusted to direct airflow to the desired position. It's important not to force them completely closed, as they are designed not to be, and doing so can damage the unit.
- Caution Indicator (Red): Illuminates if the heater overheats, indicating the thermal cut-out has activated. The heater must be turned off immediately, and the cause of overheating investigated before further operation.
- Power Indicator (Amber): Illuminates when the heater is operating.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: Before cleaning, ensure the power is turned off at the circuit breaker panel and the heating element is completely cool. The heater can be wiped occasionally with a dry duster. For deeper cleaning when cold and not in use, a damp cloth can be used. Do not allow water to drip inside the heater.
- Prohibited Cleaning Agents: Do not use abrasive cleaning powders, furniture polish, chemical or abrasive products, metallic scourers, or similar items, as they can deteriorate the surface.
- Storage: During summer months or extended periods of non-use, disconnect the power supply and cover the appliance with a dust cloth. Store in a dry and cool place.
- Servicing: All servicing must be performed by qualified service personnel. Users should not attempt to repair the heater themselves.
Pet Owners Warning:
Small pets, particularly birds, are extremely sensitive to fumes produced during the first-time use of many appliances due to manufacturing corrosion coatings burning off. While these fumes are not harmful to humans, it is recommended not to use the heater around birds and small pets during its initial use until these coatings have burned off.
