What to do if Progressive Dynamics Media Converter has no output?
    • S
      Sara MunozJul 28, 2025
If your Progressive Dynamics Media Converter has no output, there are several potential causes. First, ensure that proper AC power is connected by connecting the power supply. Check the AC distribution panel for proper operation. Also, check for a reverse battery connection if the reverse battery fuses are blown and replace the fuses with the same type and rating if needed. Trace circuits for a possible short circuit fault. If the unit has shut down due to overheating, check the airflow and allow the unit to cool. If the unit has shut down due to over voltage, check and correct the input voltage, as the converter will shut down if the input voltage exceeds 132 VAC.

Why is my Progressive Dynamics Media Converter output low?
    • N
      Nicholas HopkinsAug 4, 2025
A low output from your Progressive Dynamics Media Converter can stem from several reasons. The compartment may be getting too hot, so check airflow to the converter and improve ventilation to the compartment. The converter might be handling an excessive load, so reduce load requirements or install a larger converter. Ensure the input voltage is between 105-130 VAC; if not, correct the input supply voltage. Finally, bad battery cells can cause low output, so replace the battery if necessary.

What to do if Progressive Dynamics Media Converter battery does not charge but circuits have power?
    • C
      Chase RichardsonAug 12, 2025
If your Progressive Dynamics Media Converter's battery isn't charging but the circuits have power, it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, check the battery polarity if the reverse battery fuses are blown, correct it if necessary, and replace the fuses. Second, check the wiring to the battery, including any possible inline fuses, to ensure there is a battery connection.

How to fix intermittent output of Progressive Dynamics Media Converter on Generator?
    • H
      Heather KennedyAug 20, 2025
If your Progressive Dynamics Media Converter experiences intermittent or no output on generator power but works on shore power, it might be due to over voltage. Try adding another load to the generator, as this may reduce the voltage 'spikes' to an acceptable level. It's also possible that the generator exhibits excessive voltage spikes on the AC power output. In this case, contact the generator manufacturer for a possible defect in the generator.
