The speed of the mower will affect the quality of the mowers cut. Mowing at full
speed will adversely affect the cut quality. Control the ground speed with the drive
petals.
5. When approaching the other end of the strip, slow down or stop before turning.
6. Turn and align the mower along an edge of the previously mowed strip. Overlap
that edge by approximately 3 inches.
7. Direct the mower on each subsequent strip to align with a previously mowed strip.
8. To prevent running or grooving of the turf, if possible, change the direction that
the strips are mowed by approximately 45° for the next and subsequent mowing.
Be careful when crossing gravel paths or driveways. Disengage the
blades and raise the deck to the highest position before crossing.
When stopping the mower for any reason while on a grass surface, always
engage the Parking Brake, shut off the mower, and remove the Key.
REVERSE MODE OPERATION (RMO)
The Reverse Mode Operation (RMO) allows the mower to be operated in Reverse
with the blades engaged.
Mowing in reverse is not recommended.
Use extreme caution while operating the mower in the Reverse Mode
Operation (RMO). Always look down and behind before and while backing. Do not
operate the mower when children or others are around. Stop the mower immediately if
someone enters the area.
To Use the Reverse Mode Operation (RMO):
1. Start the mower as previously instructed on page 30.
2. Press the Reverse Mode Operation Button (RMO) This button always requires
pressing.
3. Always look down and behind the mower before and while backing to ensure that
no children are around.
