Why is there a milky color in the water or ice cubes from my ProSystems Water Filtration Systems?
    • W
      webbchristopherAug 1, 2025
The milky color in your water or ice cubes from your ProSystems Water Filtration Systems might be due to small air bubbles passing through the system. This does not affect the system's performance. It could also be that air is trapped inside the filter housing; to resolve this, open the faucet and let the water run for 3 to 5 minutes after installation and filter changes. A high concentration of total dissolved solids (TDS) can also cause cloudiness, which can be reduced using deionization, distillation, or reverse osmosis.

Why does my ProSystems 38247 water smell like rotten eggs?
    • S
      Stephen ThomasAug 9, 2025
A rotten egg odor in your water from ProSystems Water Filtration Systems typically indicates the presence of hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S). To address this, treat the water for hydrogen sulfide reduction by replacing the filter cartridge. Note that this system has not been tested or approved for hydrogen sulfide reduction.

What to do if there is an odor with color on the filter cartridge of my ProSystems 38247 Water Filtration Systems?
    • L
      Leonard LindseyAug 16, 2025
If you notice an odor and color on the filter cartridge of your ProSystems Water Filtration Systems, it could be due to hydrogen sulfide (H2S) caused by iron (orange/blackish color) or decaying organisms (slimy; blotchy colors). It is recommended to have your water tested for iron and/or sulfur bacteria. If present, seek professional advice on proper well cleaning, disinfection, or treatment. If no iron/sulfur bacteria are detected, treat the water for hydrogen sulfide reduction using an appropriate device, keeping in mind that this system hasn't been tested or approved for reducing iron bacteria, sulfur bacteria, or hydrogen sulfide.

How to fix taste or odor issues with my ProSystems Water Filtration Systems?
    • M
      Matthew ValenzuelaAug 25, 2025
If your ProSystems Water Filtration Systems water has a general taste or odor, it might be because the filter cartridge is saturated. In this case, replace the filter cartridge.
