To ensure you pump with maximum efficiency and comfort, the Milk Genie
comes with 3 different sized breastshields - 21mm, 24mm, and 27mm - to
help you get the best fit. Follow the breastshield sizing guide below to
determine your recommended size.
After pumping in expression mode
for 5 minutes, you will notice your
nipple has swollen. Measure the
diameter of the nipple at the base,
excluding areola. Select a
breastshield that is 2-3mm wider
than the nipple diameter. If you
experience discomfort, try a
different size. Your shield should
be the ideal fit if no/very little
areola is being drawn into the
flange, there is no discomfort, and there is adequate milk being expressed.
