The MistAire Cloud Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier & Mood Light from Pure Enrichment is a unique cloud-shaped device designed to enhance the ambiance and air quality of nurseries, playrooms, or children's bedrooms. This product combines the functionality of a humidifier with a soothing mood light, offering a tranquil environment for relaxation and sleep.
The primary function of the MistAire Cloud is to humidify the air using advanced ultrasonic technology, producing a cool mist. This technology allows for extended operation, ranging from 10 to 24 hours continuously, depending on the chosen mist control setting. In addition to its humidifying capabilities, the device integrates a color-changing mood light. This light feature creates a calming ambiance, which can be particularly beneficial for promoting a restful night's sleep. The mist and light functions operate independently, meaning users can choose to use the night light without the humidifier, or vice versa, offering flexibility in how the device is utilized.
Setting up the humidifier involves a few straightforward steps. First, the outer cover and water tank need to be removed. The water tank cap is then twisted counterclockwise to open, allowing the tank to be filled with water. After filling, the cap is securely fastened by twisting it clockwise. The water tank is then placed back onto the base, and a beep will confirm its proper placement. Finally, the outer cover is returned to the tank, and the AC power adapter is connected to power the device.
Operating the humidifier is intuitive. A variable mist control knob allows users to adjust the mist output to their desired comfort level. Turning the knob clockwise activates the mist and increases its intensity from minimum to maximum. Conversely, turning the knob counterclockwise reduces the mist level until it completely shuts off.
The mood light is controlled by a separate button. A first press of the light button activates the color-changing mood light, cycling through various colors. A second press allows users to set the light to their favorite color as it appears in rotation. A third press turns the light off. The independent operation of the mist and light buttons provides convenience, enabling users to customize their experience. For instance, the night light can be used on its own without the humidifier running, and vice versa.
A key safety feature of the MistAire Cloud is its automatic shut-off mechanism. The humidifier will power off automatically when the water level in the tank is low or when the water tank is removed from the base. When the water runs out, the light will flash red three times to alert the user. To resume operation, the water tank must be refilled, and the mist control knob should first be switched to the off position before turning the product back on and selecting a mist setting.
Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for optimal performance and longevity of the MistAire Cloud. Before any cleaning, the device should be turned off and unplugged from the electrical outlet. The outer cover and water tank are then lifted off.
For the base, any excess water should be poured out. The unit can then be washed with fresh water using the provided cleaning brush and a soft cloth as needed. It is important not to submerge the base of the unit into water or allow water to enter the dry air exhaust port.
The water tank also requires regular cleaning. After emptying the water, the mist nozzle should be removed, and the mist tube cleaned with fresh water and a bottle cleaning brush (not included).
The outer surface of the unit can be wiped with a soft cloth if necessary. If water accumulation is observed during use, it is recommended to reduce the humidity setting and dry the outer surface with a cloth.
Descaling is an important part of maintenance, with frequency depending on usage and water type. Weekly or bi-weekly cleaning to remove scale is recommended to optimize performance. In areas with hard water, using distilled water is advised to reduce mineral buildup and "white dust." Harsh detergents or cleaning chemicals should not be used; instead, vinegar is recommended for cleaning the unit and water tank.
For further convenience in preventing hard mineral deposits, a decalcification cartridge or humidifier cleaner capsule (sold separately) can be used. Pure Enrichment offers a specific Humidifier Decalcification Cartridge Filter (Model No.: PECLDDCAL), which can be purchased from their website.
For end-of-season storage, it is essential to follow the cleaning and maintenance instructions. The humidifier must be completely dry before storing; water should not be left inside the base or water tank. The unit should be packed in its original carton and stored in a cool, dry location.
A critical warning for users is not to attempt to open the motor housing if a problem is experienced. Doing so will void the warranty and could cause damage to the humidifier or result in personal injury. Troubleshooting tips are provided in the manual for common issues, such as no mist, bad smell, or the unit not turning on, offering solutions like refilling the water tank, checking its position, cleaning the ultrasonic disc, or ensuring proper airflow.
