If the unit runs out of water, the light turns red, and the unit automatically shuts off. To continue use, simply refill the water tank. Maintenance Features:

  • General Cleaning (Always unplug before servicing):
    • Inside the base: Pour out excess water. Wash with fresh water using the included cleaning brush and a soft cloth. Do not submerge the base or allow water to enter the dry air exhaust port.
    • Water tank: Empty the tank. Remove the mist nozzle and clean the mist tube with fresh water and a bottle cleaning brush (not included).
    • Outer surface: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. If water accumulates, reduce humidity and dry the surface.
  • Descaling:
    • Depending on usage and water type, cleaning to remove scale may be needed weekly or every other week.
    • Distilled water is recommended in hard water areas to reduce mineral precipitation ("white dust").
    • Do not use harsh detergents or cleaning chemicals. Decalcification cartridges or humidifier cleaner capsules can be used to prevent hard mineral deposits.
  • Ultrasonic Disk Cleaning:
    1. Unplug the humidifier.
    2. Remove the tank and empty all water from the base and tank.
    3. Locate the ultrasonic disk (refer to diagram on page 6).
    4. Use the enclosed cleaning brush to gently clean and remove buildup. Note: Do not scrub or scrape the ultrasonic disk.
  • Removing Stubborn Scale:
    1. Fill the base with a mixture of 1 tsp white vinegar and 1 tsp water.
    2. Let the solution stand for 5 minutes.
    3. While the vinegar is in the base, clean interior surfaces with a soft cloth or brush.
    4. Check and clean any buildup in the mist nozzle and mist tube.
    5. Rinse the base thoroughly to remove scale and vinegar solution.
    6. If white dust persists due to minerals, consider using a decalcification or humidifier cleaner cartridge.
  • End of Season Storage:
    • Follow general cleaning and descaling instructions.
    • Completely dry the humidifier before storing. Do not store with water inside.
    • Pack the unit in its original box and store in a cool, dry location.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides solutions for common issues such as no vapor, low humidity, bad smell, white dust, unit stopping, water accumulation, dripping during refilling, increased noise, and red light on the power dial.
