Why is my Quality Craft LS5T-H not splitting logs?
    • T
      Tony WilliamsJul 31, 2025
If your Quality Craft Log Splitter fails to split logs, it might be due to several reasons. First, ensure the log is correctly positioned according to the “Log Splitter Operation” section. The log size or hardness might exceed the machine's capacity, so reduce the log size. A blunt wedge cutting edge can also be the culprit; in that case, refer to the “Sharpening Wedge“ section to sharpen it. Oil leaks or unauthorized adjustments to the Max. Pressure Limiting Screw (resulting in a lower max pressure rating) can also cause this issue. If you notice oil leaks or suspect pressure issues, contact the dealer.

What to do if my Quality Craft Log Splitter leaks oil?

      lhardinAug 9, 2025
Oil leaks in your Quality Craft Log Splitter can stem from several causes. If air is sealed in the hydraulic system during operation, loosen the Bleed Screw by 3 ~ 4 rotations before operating the log splitter. Ensure the Bleed Screw is tightened before moving the log splitter. Also, check if the Oil Drain Bolt with Dipstick is tight and tighten it if it's not. If the Hydraulic Control Valve Assembly and / or seals are worn, contact the dealer.

Why does the log pusher on my Quality Craft LS5T-H move jerkily?
    • J
      Jeffrey FosterAug 20, 2025
If the log pusher on your Quality Craft Log Splitter moves jerkily, accompanied by unfamiliar noise or excessive vibration, it could be due to a lack of hydraulic oil and excessive air in the hydraulic system. Check the oil level and refill if necessary. For further assistance, contact the dealer.
