OXYGEN SENSOR
The ZR1000 employs a heated miniature
zirconia oxygen sensor which operates in the
range of 0 to 1000 ppm. The sensor is
unaffected by inert gases such as nitrogen or
carbon dioxide. However, exposure to any
hydrocarbon gas, CO or other oxidizable gas
can poison the sensors.
The typical lifetime of the sensor is 5 years.
The sensor is totally sealed and operates at an
elevated temperature.
Controlling the flow rate entering the
instrument is critical. If you have a pump, the
flow rate is determined by the pump, and will
always be consistent.
If you do not have a pump, we recommend 800
– 1000 cc/min. Lower flow rates will produce
a higher reading, and higher flow rates will
produce a lower reading.
