Connect the AC Mains Power.
• Connect the AC Mains power cord to 100-240 VAC,
50/60 Hz power.
• Turn on the AC Mains power switch.
• Turn on the Key Switch located on the ICE front
panel.

Prime the Cooling System.
CAUTION: DO NOT power on the system
unless the coolant is filled and the pump is
primed or pump damage will result.
• Remove the drain tube from its storage location
on the ICE rear panel. Connect it between the
ICE rear panel ports to form a loop.
• Remove the cap and fill the reservoir with the
approved coolant.

Prime the Coolant Pump.
Press the green Pump Cntrl button located on the
ICE rear panel to operate the pump and circulate the
coolant for about 2 seconds. Listen for the sound of
the pump operating smoothly. Press and hold the
Pump Cntrl button to circulate coolant for several
seconds if and only if pump operation is smooth.
CAUTION: Do not operate the pump if it is making a
“buzzing” or “clattering” sound. This indicates no
coolant in the pump. If this happens, tip the ICE
toward the rear panel to lower the coolant loop
before testing coolant circulation again.

Connect the Laser Head.
CAUTION: Turn the Key Switch OFF.
Turn the AC Mains power switch OFF.
• Simultaneously disconnect both ends of the drain
tube from the ICE rear panel.
• Connect the I/O cable between the ICE and the
Laser Head. Rotate the connector to fully tighten it.
• Connect the 2 coolant tubes between the Laser
Head and the ICE. Match the connectors: blue to
blue and red to red.
CAUTION: Do NOT operate the flashlamps
until all trapped air is removed from the cool-
ant tubes and Laser Head, or Laser Head
damage will result.
