Elevating Feature (Optional)
If your power chair is equipped with a elevating feature, you
can change the seat height through the controller.
Do not allow the motor to run more than a few seconds
after the mechanism reaches the top or bottom limit.
NOTE: Please refer to the controller manual to operate
lift feature

Transit Securement System
If your power chair is equipped with a transit securement
system, it is equipped with manufacturer installed front
and rear securement brackets and may be equipped with
positioning belt anchoring brackets. See gure 6. Refer
to the supplement provided with your power chair for
information on how to use the transit securement system.
NOTE: In certain congurations, the transit securement
system is not available on power chairs equipped with
an HD option.
Transporting Your Power Chair
You can secure the power chair by one of two methods:
1. At its tie-down points with a strap-type tie-down systems
that is properly rates for the total mass of the power
chair and complies with ISO 10542-1, an international
standard governing Wheelchair Tie-down and Occupant
Restraint Systems (WTORS).

NOTE: For more information on operating the elevating
feautre option through the controller, contact your
Quantum Rehab Provider.
The elevating feature option is intended for use on a
level surface only. Never raise the seat from its lowest
position on an inclined surface. Failure to heed this
warning can result in the power chair tipping over.
Never raise the seat from its lowest position when
operating your power chair on bumpy or uneven
surfaces. Failure to heed this warning can result in the
power chair tipping over.
Never raise the elevating feature while your power chair
is in the freewheel mode.
Always fasten the positioning belt when operating the
elevating feature.
NOTE: The elevating feature option is equipped with a
system that reduces the speed of the power chair to one
quarter when the seat is elevated. Always check to be
sure this system is operating properly before using your
power chair.
WARNING!
NOTE: If using the tie-down method, please refer
to Quantum Rehab's separate "Transit Securement
Systems Guide."
2. With a docking-type power chair and occupant-restraint
system that has been tested and complies with ISO7176-
19, an international standard governing the testing of
power chairs for use as seats in motor vehicles.
The power chair must be transported in only vehicles
approved for this purchase.
