What to do if Quick Charge Battery Charger batteries use water, get hot, or smell?
    • J
      Joel TaylorAug 16, 2025
If the batteries use water, get hot, or emit odors, it could indicate one or more dead cells or an incorrect dip switch setting. Replace the batteries, and if charging in series, replace all batteries to avoid mixing new and old ones. For shallow discharging, ensure the dip switch is not set to standard or extended cycle.

What to do if Quick Charge Battery Charger doesn't give a full charge?
    • M
      michelle88Sep 12, 2025
If the batteries don’t receive a full charge, ensure the charger output is approximately 10% of the battery's amp hour rating. Also, recheck the dip switch setting. If unsure, and if you have a 4 position switch, switch #1 position ON. The battery may be defective and need replacement.

What does it mean if Quick Charge QP LED is green with a yellow flash after full charge?
    • A
      Angela HillAug 22, 2025
If, after a full charge, the LED shows green with a yellow flash, it means the batteries didn't reach 80% charge within 12 hours or didn't reach the minimum voltage, causing the charger to time out. The charger might be too small for the batteries, or the batteries may be aging. Try running a second cycle to achieve a full charge, but consider replacing the batteries or using a larger charger.

What to do if Quick Charge Battery Charger voltage rises quickly but amps fall fast?
    • R
      Robert ShortAug 26, 2025
If the voltage rises quickly on the battery and the amps fall fast, even if the battery is dead, the batteries might be sulfated. Leave the charger on for several hours. If the voltage falls and the current begins to rise, the battery may recover.

Why Quick Charge Battery Charger LED flashes red/yellow and no amp output?
    • M
      Maurice HarrisAug 28, 2025
If the LED flashes red/yellow and there is no amp output on the meter when switched on, it indicates a charger and battery voltage mismatch. Connect the charger to a battery(s) with the same voltage rating.

What to do if Quick Charge QP Battery Charger shows low voltage and amps are less than 5?
    • C
      Charles RubioAug 31, 2025
If the battery voltage reads well below its rating, the LED is red with a yellow flash, and the amps are less than 5, it signifies that the battery is very low, and the charger is in a slow charge phase. Leave it connected; it may take hours, but if the voltage increases even slightly, it should recover and turn the charger fully on. Do not allow your batteries to deep discharge, as it is the number one cause of premature battery failure.

How to fix Quick Charge QP Battery Charger when the LED flashes red/green?
    • J
      johnnewmanSep 3, 2025
If there is no voltage reading on the meter and the LED flashes red/green, it could be due to reversed polarity, no connection to the battery, a break in the DC cord or connector, or a battery that is too dead to charge. Correct the polarity or connect to the battery. On chargers having a white and black wire, white is positive. Have a qualified person make repair. Replace the battery if necessary.

Why does Quick Charge Battery Charger blow the fuse immediately?
    • E
      Eric HallSep 6, 2025
If the charger blows its fuse or the branch circuit fuse/circuit breaker immediately upon being switched on, the charger is shorted. Contact factory.

What to do if Quick Charge QP blows the fuse after a while?
    • M
      michellerossSep 9, 2025
If the charger blows the branch circuit fuse/circuit breaker shortly after being switched on, the branch circuit is too small. Relocate the charger to a branch circuit with a heavier rating, or remove other loads on the circuit.

Why Quick Charge Battery Charger red LED doesn't light up?
    • T
      Thomas WilkersonSep 12, 2025
If, when switched on, the red LED does not light and no amps are read on the meter, the panel mount fuse may be blown, or there is no AC power present at the plug. Replace the fuse with one having the same rating and check that there is power at the source. If using an extension cord, ensure it is not damaged.
