To reduce the risk of battery explosion or re, follow these instructions and those published
by the battery manufacturer and the manufacturer of any equipment or vehicle that you
intend to use the Rescue
®
Battery Charger.
WARNING

The Rescue® Battery Charger is designed for charging LEAD-ACID batteries only. DO
NOT USE THIS BATTERY CHARGER FOR OTHER TYPES OF BATTERIES; doing so
can cause damage to the battery or injury to persons.
WARNING

Risk of contact with battery acid. Battery acid is highly corrosive sulfuric acid. Use caution
when working with and around a battery.
• Do not use the Rescue

Battery Charger if case, battery clamps or cords are cut, cracked, or
damaged in any way
• Do touch the clamps or ring terminals to any conductive material or touch them to each other
• No lubrication is recommended or required
• Do not attempt to repair the unit or replace parts-unauthorized repairs will void your warranty
• If your Rescue
®
Battery Charger requires service, follow the directions in the warranty section
• Do not open the Rescue
®
Battery Charger unit’s case, as there are no user-serviceable parts.
Opening and closing the unit could cause electric shock or cause injury
• Do not operate unit in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of ammable liquids,
gases, or dust
• Do not smoke or allow a spark or ame in the vicinity of a battery or engine
• Do not expose the unit to excessive heat
• Do not allow the unit to become wet or submersed in water
• Do not use as a toy, this Rescue
®
Battery Charger is not intended for use by young or inrm
persons without supervision
• Do not charge a frozen battery. If the battery is frozen, bring into a warm area to thaw before
charging
