7 Maintenance
The wheelchairs lifespan is dependent on it
being well maintained.

7.2 Batteries
The wheelchair uses two 12V non-spillable ‘dry’
gel batteries in series. These batteries are fully
sealed and require no maintenance.
Note!
Do not use ‘wet’ batteries.
Take into account the fact that the
wheelchairs range is reduced at low

the capacity is roughly 75% of the normal

Charging the batteries (
Battery charger)
Consult the user manual for the battery charger
to determine whether it is suitable for the
batteries in use (see 9.2 Technical information).
Switch off the wheelchair’s controller.
Plug the battery chargers charging plug into
the charging connector on the controller.
Activate the battery charger. Consult the
user manual for the battery charger.
Warning!
It is advised to mount a smoke detector in
the charging area.
Disconnect batteries in case of longer
storage without usage.
Charge the batteries if the wheelchair is not
EHLQJXVHGIRUDQH[WHQGHGSHULRGRIWLPH7KH
batteries should be charged every night under
normal use. The battery charger’s display will
indicate when the batteries are fully charged.
'HSHQGLQJRQKRZGHSOHWHGWKHEDWWHULHVDUH
it may take up to 12 hours to fully charge the
batteries again.
