STEP 1 Pair flow meter.

Prepare for pairing.

Bring the flow meter to the installation site and do not insert batteries until prompted.

Initiate pairing via app.

Open the Rachio app, navigate to Accessories, and add the Wireless Flow Meter.

STEP 2 Turn water off.

Shut off water supply.

Turn off water to the irrigation system at the backflow or main shut-off valve.

Drain the system.

Run a zone for one minute using the Rachio App's Quick Run feature to drain.

STEP 3 Connect fittings.

Attach fittings to meter.

Firmly push the flow meter and fittings together with a twisting motion until flush.

STEP 4 Find your measurements.

Consult Pipe Measurement Chart.

Reference the chart to identify pipe material and size for cutting instructions.

Cut 3;4 inch Copper or Poly Pipe.

Follow specific marking and cutting instructions for 3/4 inch copper or poly pipe.

Cut 1 inch Copper or Poly Pipe.

Follow specific marking and cutting instructions for 1 inch copper or poly pipe.

Cut 3;4 or 1 inch PVC or PEX Pipe.

Follow specific marking and cutting instructions for PVC or PEX pipe.

STEP 5 Cut and clean pipe.

Cut and clean pipe.

Make precise cuts on the innermost marks and clean pipe edges using a deburring tool or sandpaper.

STEP 6 Install the flow meter.

Install flow meter in pipe.

Orient the flow meter with water flow, push fittings firmly, and adjust as needed.

STEP 7 Turn water on.

Turn water on and check for leaks.

Restore water supply and inspect the installation site for any leaks.
