GENERAL

Know your scanner

LCD Full Display

OPERATION

Power on/Power off

Turn the power knob clockwise to turn on the radio and anti-clockwise to turn off.

Volume Alignment

Hold SQ button, adjust volume knob for desired speaker level. Turn clockwise to increase, anti-clockwise to decrease.

CAR channel Select

Use Digit+Enter or arrow keys to select CAR channel. Press F to check frequency.

Key-lock

Press F then arrow key to toggle key lock. Icon indicates lock status.

CAR channel Scanning function

Press SCAN button to scan CAR channels. Press SCAN again to stop.

CAR Scan List Setting

Use arrow keys to select channel, F+SCAN to add/delete from scan list. Sc icon indicates inclusion.

Set squelch level

Press F+2 to enter SQ level setting. Use arrow keys to choose level 1-3. Press Enter to store.

Set battery saving

Battery saving levels 1-3 set by PC programmer, affecting cycle times.

Set To [MRN] Station

Press F+MRN to access MRN station. Frequency changed by PC programmer.

Set radio's channel spacing

Channel spacing (12.5KHz or 25KHz) set by PC programmer.

LCD Back light

Press F + arrow keys to turn the LCD backlight on or off.

Reset

Hold F+SQ and turn on power for reset. Affects various settings.

CAR CHANNEL SETTING

Frequecy setting

Type frequency by keyboard, press Enter to store. [CAR] icon flashes during setting.

Channel name setting

Type channel name, press Enter to store. Use Sc/CAR buttons for letters.

PL/DPL setting

Use arrow keys to choose PL tone or DPL codes. Press Enter to store and go to LOCK OUT.

LOCK OUT setting

Choose ON/OFF for LOCK OUT. Skipped when scanning if set to ON.
