CONNECTING AN OPTIONAL AC ADAPTER
You can connect an optional AC adapter (Cat. No. 273-1670, available by spe-
cial order) to the module to power the module from AC power.
Caution:
Use only the recommended AC adapter. Even other adapters that
have the same ratings as the recommended adapter might not work properly.
Note:
When you connect an AC adapter to the module, the battery protects the
module’s memory if there is a power failure.
Follow these steps to connect the AC adapter.
1. Plug the AC adapter’s barrel plug into the module’s
9V-DC
jack.
2. Plug the AC adapter into a standard AC outlet.
