Nothing happens after
pressing a button.
Make sure
HOLD
is set in the
opposite direction from the arrow.
Make sure that fresh batteries
are correctly installed.
There is no sound. Make sure the volume is turned
up.
Make sure an earphone is not
connected to the recorder.
The recording level is
too low.
Make sure the microphone sensi-
tivity is properly set. (See

The playback speed is
too fast.
Make sure the unit is not set to

The recorder will not
record.
