Battery
indicator
The battery
indicator
is a dot located in the
upper
right
corner
of
the display.
When
this dot
dissappears,
the batteries must be replaced.

Number
of
input
characters
When
you
enter
numbers, characters
and instructions
into the
Computer
(via
the
keyboard)
this
data
is stored
in
an
input buffer. When you press the
l**™]
key,
the
Computer
executes
the
instructions
as required.
The
input
buffer
can
hold
up
to
a maximum of 80 characters.
When
you
have
entered
80
characters
into the
input
buffer (i.e.
80
characters on
a "single
line")
the
cursor
will
flash
in
the
last
display
position. Further
inputs
will
merely
change this
last
position.
A manual
calculation
will not
be
correctly
executed if it
contains
more
than
80
characters
(including
l*<™\ key).
DISPLAY SYSTEM
This
Computer
displays
a
number
in
the normal
manner
or
with
scientific
notation
system.
Numbers
in programmed
calculations are
displayed
according
to the
designated
format,
but
in
manual
calculations,
numbers
within the following
range are
displayed
in the
normal
manner,
and
other
numbers
are
displayed in scientific notation.
Range
of
numbers

Within
the range shown
above, if
a
number
can
not be
displayed

normal

the
