As
you can see, the first number in the SOUND statement controls the frequency of
the tone and is inversely related to the frequency (the higher the number, the lower the
tone).
Increase the duration of the
440 hertz tone by entering:

The length of the tone
is
controlled by the second number in the SOUND statement
and ranges from a minimum
of
0 (no sound at all) to a maximum of 255. The duration
of the tone is approximately
20 milliseconds times the number entered. For example,
the command
SOUND
5586,1121121
turns on a 440 hertz tone for approximately
20 * 100 = 2000 milliseconds = 2 seconds
The first number
in
the SOUND statement determines the frequency
of
the tone and
must be an integer in the range of
0 to 16383. You can hear the full range of tones by
