If you have problems operating yourTRS-80, please checkthe following table of
symptoms and cures. It's also possible that you have not followed the instructions
correctly.
If you can't solve the problem, take the unit in to your local Radio Shack. We'll
have it fixed and returned to you ASAP!
Symptom
TheCass? message does not appear
whenyou turn onthe Computer.
Possible Cause. Cure.
1. No AC power. Check powercord
connection to Computer and all
peripherals.
2. Incorrect power-up sequence.
3. Peripheral device (e.g., printer) is
notconnected properly. Recheck
connection.
4. Disk system. To operate without a
TRSDOS diskette, hold down (BREAK)
while you reset or poweron.
5. Video Display needs adjustment.
CheckBrightness and Contrast
controls.
