It is possible to interconnect two iPaul DM2000 amplifiers in order to double the performance of the subwoofer.
This procedure is known as „strapping mode“ (see Figure 4).
To operate two iPaul DM2000 in „strapping mode“ proceed as follows.
1. Set on one amplifier the master/slave switch (10) to master
2. Set the other amplifier master/slave switch (10) to slave
3. Connect the RCA output of the vehicle radio with the LOW INPUT (2) of the master amplifier
4. Connect the MASTER/SLAVE OUT (3) of the master amplifier to the MASTER/SLAVE IN (3) of the
slave amplifier
5. Connect the loudspeaker output (-) of the master amplifier to the loudspeaker output (-) of the slave
amplifier using at least 4 mm² loudspeaker cable
6. Connect the loudspeaker output (+) of the master amplifier to the (+) terminal of the subwoofer
7. Connect the loudspeaker output (+) of the slave amplifier to the (-) terminal of the subwoofer
NOTE: Only adjustments on the master amplifier affect the subwoofer at the loudspeaker output.
Connect the remote likewise to the master amplifier.
In „strapping mode“ the impedance of the subwoofer may not fall below 2 Ohms!
