Chapter 1 Overview
1.1 Instruction
RC902-FE4E1-BL is a Fast Ethernet to 4 E1 interface converter with the up-to-date inverse multiplexing
function, which is one of the most widely used Ethernet access solution using E1 resources.
RC902-FE4E1-BL modular interface converter is a communication device provides the conversion from
10/100M self-adaptive Ethernet interface to 4 E1 interfaces. The device can be plugged into Raisecom
chassis and realizes SNMP network management. It realizes remote management by communicating with
RC901-FE4E1 or RC902-FX4E1.
1.2 Features
¾ One 10/100M self-adaptive Ethernet twisted pair interface
¾ Four 120Ω balanced connectors for 4 ways of E1 signal
¾ All-around E1 alarm types including local and remote alarms
¾ Loop back testing function for local and remote E1 interface to facilitate bit error judgment
¾ Real-time bit error detection and E1 channel automatic protection and recovery function
¾ Improved adapting ability to acute jitter and wander in complicated network environment
¾ IEEE802.1q VLAN packet transparent transmission supported; spanning tree protocol based
fault-tolerance network construction supported
¾ Grand scale ASIC chip adoption to ensure low power consumption; 4-layer PCB based design to
ensure high reliability
¾ Working in RC002-16 16-slot chassis, RC002-4 4-slot chassis and RC001 single-slot chassis with
build-in power supply
