Once you have located the brew thermostat, carefully work loose the two spade “quick
disconnect” electrical connections, as shown in the following pictures. Patience is
rewarded in this operation. Gentle side to side wiggling, along with a slight pulling force
away from the thermostat, will usually free these connectors. You can carefully use your
flat blade screwdriver here, too. Place the blade in the small gap at the end of the female
connector, then twist it a little. Sometimes this will break the initial grip and allow you to
finish the removal with your fingers.

you have disconnected the wires.
